Three words that best describe you as a candidate:

Dedicated, Approachable, Honest

Experience:

Crosby City Council for almost 4 years with being on Hallet community center committee, Fire Department Relief Association committee, Police Advisory, Serpent Lake Sanitary Sewer District. Priviously have been on Parks and Recreation, library and Refuse Committee.

Why are you running?

I have gained valuable experience during my first term and believe my knowledge base lends itself to solid decision making on various city matters. I believe that the council has the responsibility to work for a better environment for both residents and businesses.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am an excellent listener to discussions before I cast my vote. My preference is drama free discussions that end with sound business decisions moving the city forward. My work as a Firefighter demonstrates my commitment to the people of Crosby and the value I place on being in service.

What are the top two or three issues facing the city?

1) Fixing roads, alleys, and sidewalks
2) City of Crosby has a shortage of housing
3) Keeping taxes down as much as possible.

What are your plans to address those issues?

1) Continue with budgeting and planning for infrastructure improvement.
2) Working with planning and zoning to increase density and/or expand city borders.
3) City will continue with grant applications and other opportunities to access funds to add to our tax base rather than raise taxes.

How would you prioritize area businesses, jobs and the economy?

We need to address housing so we can bring workers for our growing business area. More housing will increase our tax base and more workers will improve our economy. Bringing more families will add to our school enrollment. Limiting short term rentals and adding to our borders is a start.

How would you address the school district’s budget needs?
