Three words that best describe you as a candidate:

Resourceful, Collaborative, Committed

Experience:

During my career, my job was to manage client service contracts to ensure the company’s performance. To accomplish this, I managed problems, incidents, and changes for the services the company provided and was very successful in this role. I believe this experience will be valuable as a City Council member.

Why are you running?

My husband and I have lived in Breezy Point for 8 years. Breezy Point is a great place to live, work and raise a family and I want to keep it that way.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My agenda is to to connect with Breezy Point residents to learn what is important to them and to be their voice on the council. I strongly believe that it is incumbent on me, as an elected official, to provide transparency and accountability to the citizens of Breezy Point.

What are the top two or three issues facing the city?

Fiscal Responsibility
Taxes

What are your plans to address those issues?

I have talked to many residents in Breezy Point, who, like me, are concerned about our increasing tax rate and how our tax dollars are spent. We want to be heard and I will be the voice on the council who will make sure that the concerns of Breezy Point citizens are heard. The money belongs to the taxpayers and we must have a say in how it is spent.

How would you prioritize area businesses, jobs and the economy?

Small business is the lifeblood of our city. Rather than enforcing onerous regulations on small business owners, I believe that city leaders should encourage their growth and success. I love the idea of providing workshops for entrepreneurs, organizing small business appreciation days, and hosting small business roundtables and networking events

How would you address the school district’s budget needs?
