Three words that best describe you as a candidate:

America first leader

Experience:

Josh and I have successfully owned and operated our small business for over 20 years in the Brainerd Lakes Area and have a large family. The combined experience of family, business, and conservative activism has uniquely positioned me to better understand the values of those living in Senate District 6.

Why are you running?

For more than a decade, I have advocated on critical issues at the Capitol with respected organizations like Minnesota Concerned Citizens for Life, the NRA, and Minnesotans for Health & Parental Rights. I've fought for your rights alongside legislators and I'm running to put that experience to work.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My experience and integrity. President Trump trusted me with his campaign in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District and I took that as seriously as I have taken on every other challenge in life. I gave it my all and delivered. If elected I will work tirelessly with that same determination.

What are the top two or three issues facing Minnesota?

1. Gross fiscal mismanagement by Governor Walz and legislative Democrats. They turned an $18 billion surplus into a $6 billion deficit in two years, raising taxes by $10 billion while increasing state general fund spending by 38% in one budget.
2. There has been more fraud under Governor Tim Walz than under any other Governor in the history of our country. Democrats gave $650 million in taxpayer funds to nonprofits with no oversight.
3. Declining student performance. Currently less than 50% of Minnesota students can read at grade level and student performance has only gotten worse with Democrats in control.

What are your plans to address those issues?

1. I’ll cut out wasteful spending by demanding performance based accountability from state agencies for every program and every tax dollar spent.
2. I’ll eliminate fraud by demanding strict oversight on state-funded organizations, canceling funds lacking accountability, and claw back unspent funds.
3. I’ll focus on eliminating state mandates, especially woke policies so districts can focus tax dollars and time on helping kids learn, and I’d institute performance pay for teachers who get results so we get the best teachers possible.

How would you address Minnesota’s current budget deficit?

Minnesota must have a balanced budget. I’ll enforce strict oversight on state-funded organizations, cancel funds lacking accountability, and reclaim unspent funds. I’ll cut duplicate IT staff, seek external IT bids, and require programs to meet legislative goals, canceling funding for those that fail to deliver results.

Given the nearly even split of Democrats and Republicans in the state legislature, how would you work with the other party to get things done?

Legislators start with solutions instead of focusing on root causes of the problem, leading to gridlock. They rely on special interests and lobbyists instead of applying common sense. I’m committed to doing the hard work, building coalitions by focusing on problem solving, and finding real solutions that put people first.
