Three words that best describe you as a candidate:

Honesty, Integrity, Dependable

Experience:

Past Councilman, Mayor (4 years), Planning and Zoning. Created and served on the Crosby EDC during and after election wins. Real Estate Agent for 23 years, accounting and marketing background. I worked in Ramsey County Social Services Intake, which taught me good listening skills. Committed and dedicated to all positions.

Why are you running?

To restore integrity to our council, we must focus on the resident's wants and needs, financial accountability, departments taking responsibility for all levels of those departments, and control taken back by the whole council, not just a selected few. We must also pick sound priorities for expenditures.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

Experience, knowledge, and many years of working with and for the public. Understanding of the city's behind-the-scenes workings, planning and zoning issues, and financial stability. Desire to leave a good, stable city for our future generation.

What are the top two or three issues facing the city?

Keeping the city’s economy steady and providing continued infrastructure improvements. Finding ways to keep our graduates in the area, providing affordable housing, and fostering trust in the administration. We must stop raising taxes for unnecessary expenditures: accountability, transparent council, and honesty restored to the administration.

What are your plans to address those issues?

Keep ALL departments equal with no special treatment. Talk with the residents about their ideas and wants. Would love to have a specified date and time where there is a council person and Mayor available at city hall each month to talk and listen to the residents. Make no false promises. Look at all procedures of the city and revamp anything that is out dated, including ordinances, and policies.

How would you prioritize area businesses, jobs and the economy?

As a Council member I would focus on representation of businesses regarding County Business taxes, personal business owner contact, job creation, and promotion. This would attract local-friendly enterprises for slower winter months and supports affordable housing to boost residency. Advocating for businesses and residents is crucial, as they are Crosby.

How would you address the school district’s budget needs?
