I have a lifelong background in team-oriented environments, excelling in sports, work, and community activities. My experience in cooperative settings, combined with a strong "can-do" attitude and passion for continuous improvement, equips me to contribute effectively to the school board and advocate for the needs of students and families.

Why are you running?

I am running for the school board to contribute to the community's growth and ensure that all students receive the education they need. By being actively involved, I aim to support and enhance the school district while also achieving personal growth through meaningful service and making a positive impact.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My commitment to personal growth, a strong team-oriented approach, and a passion for continuous improvement set me apart. I bring a fresh perspective, rooted in a genuine desire to contribute positively to the community and ensure all students receive the education they deserve.

What are the top two or three issues facing the school district?

The key issues facing the Pillager School District include managing political influences to keep education focused on students, providing adequate support for all students to achieve their best, and effectively managing resources as the district grows. Tackling these challenges will ensure a strong and supportive learning environment for every student.

What are your plans to address those issues?

To address these issues, I plan to focus on keeping education centered on students, without political interference. I’ll work on improving support for all students and finding ways to manage resources effectively as the district grows. By working closely with teachers and the community, we can create a supportive environment that helps every student succeed.

How would you prioritize area businesses, jobs and the economy?

How would you address the school district’s budget needs?

I would start by understanding the budget through discussions with school leaders, board members and examining financial reports. My focus would be on prioritizing key areas, managing resources wisely, and keeping the process transparent to meet the district’s needs and support student success.
