Three words that best describe you as a candidate:

Community Connections Dedicated

Experience:

I've been working with families and community for over 20 years. I was able to start out at the schools, then move to Head Start and now at the PR-B Family Center. I volunteer in many areas in the community.

Why are you running?

To see a closer connection to families, community, schools, businesses, and neighbors. In my line of work, connections to the community and it's members I hear about the concerns. I want to be part of the solutions. I believe in this community.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

My passion and drive to meet people where they are at and build on their strengths. I have authentic relationships with people in the community and find the common ground between us to be supportive and help them thrive and grow.

What are the top two or three issues facing the school district?

Transportation.
Daycare, before-after-during school care.
Connection between ALL members of the community.

What are your plans to address those issues?

I plan to listen to what the people are saying and hear the ideas for solutions. I want to see if there are any ways to address the issues instead of talking and complaining about them. Be part of the solution and not the problem and get others to help get things done for our children’s future and their children.

How would you prioritize area businesses, jobs and the economy?

How would you address the school district’s budget needs?

I would learn and understand the budget. I would like to be able to hear and see where the concerns are and how things are currently being addressed. Being part of the solution has always been my goal. I plan to evaluate from the community's perspective, along with the staffs.
