Founded in 1881, the Brainerd Dispatch publishes six days a week, with print editions on Wednesdays and Saturdays and e-editions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Dispatch team is dedicated to local news and advertising coverage in the Brainerd lakes area and across central Minnesota. In addition to publishing the Pine & Lakes Echo Journal, the Dispatch offers news, sports and weather via its social media sites, two apps and a daily podcast.

Established in 1919, the League of Women Voters is one of the nation’s most respected grassroots organizations.  The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influence public policy through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any political party or candidate for office.
