MN Senate District 6
Primary Election: April 15
Special Election: April 29
Why is there a special election this spring?
Former Senator Justin Eichorn resigned after being arrested in March. He represented MN Senate District 6, which includes areas within Cass, Crow Wing and Itasca Counties. State law requires a quick turnaround when a seat opens during a legislative session.
This election will happen in two phases, and you can participate in both. Seven Republicans are running in an open primary on April 15, and the winner will face one endorsed DFL (Democrat) candidate on April 29. Even though the timing is unusual, this position is important to our area.
Take time to learn about the candidates and be confident in your vote!
